Onward Resources to Build a 21-mile Water Transfer Pipeline page

Midland, TX – Onward Resources, a leading engineering and construction company specializing in the oil and gas industry, has secured a significant contract to provide “concept-to-commissioning” services for a mission critical water transfer pipeline in the Permian Basin. The project centers around the engineering and construction of 21-mile-long recycled water transfer pipeline which will support fracking operations. This project includes the construction of two parallel pipes, making bi-directional flow possible, allowing for the automated movement of water between pits and multiple frack sites.

Onward Resources will utilize their significant engineering experience to deliver work scopes including conceptual design, FEED, scope generation for mechanical, piping, and electrical engineering, hydraulic analysis, electrical power study, automation, fiber communications, control logic, design and installation of control hubs, along with startup training and documentation.

Additionally Onward Resources has identified more than seventy (70) line crossings and will deliver custom pumps and floating docks for the frack pits. Utilizing more the 10,000 horsepower of pumps and motors the pipeline will have the capacity to support two simultaneous frac crews in different locations on the property, operated from 7 hub locations, made up of 3 origination points and 4 booster stations, along its length.

On completion the pipeline will deliver significant savings monthly in by minimizing diesel consumption and emissions in addition to lessening environmental concerns by using traditional lay-flat hose. The project started in February 2023, with full completion expected in 10 months.
