As Director of Project Controls at Onward Resources, Frank Johnson is responsible for overseeing the company’s project management control functions, including cost control, planning and scheduling, contract management, and development control.

Frank develops and implements strategies that help Onward Resources achieve commercial targets and goals. His reliable analysis, estimating, and forecasting result in successful projects, and ensure customers achieve their objectives. In his role at Onward Resources, Frank enjoys most the comradery among the team as they build and develop client projects, and mentoring the company’s future leaders.

With 30 years of experience, Frank began his career as a Project Controls Manager of Offshore EPC Projects in the North Sea and Europe. After moving to Houston in 2002, he was a Senior Director and Global Head of Project Management & Controls at McDermott, leading their Project Controls and Contract Management functions. Frank also implemented processes, procedures, and software to help manage various projects.

Frank’s goal is to help drive success in operations and business development, and assist Onward Resources in its efforts to becoming a leader in EPC projects, and the number one solutions provider for clients.

When he’s not working, Frank enjoys traveling with his wife and 7-year-old daughter. He’s a big soccer and rugby fan, and when time permits, he likes to golf.
