Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of new projects, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide process design and project development support for new projects from conception to completion.
Support capital project development, starting from Stage 1: Development and Business Planning.
Manage and ensure the successful development of project deliverables, focusing on safety, quality, cost, schedule, and other key objectives.
Assist in facilities definition during early development stages, including site selection studies, optimization studies, preliminary equipment sizing, and develop comprehensive Process Design deliverables.
Lead the development of FEED deliverables as a FEED leader, coordinating activities in a contractor’s office.
Create proposal estimates and man-hour assessments for potential projects.
Lead and supervise the project design team, ensuring effective interface management with other departments.
Coordinate technical reviews with Manufacturing, Process Engineering/Technology, and Engineering Specialists.
Collaborate with various technical disciplines to identify and resolve deviations from project requirements.
Provide Process Design Follow-Up Support during Stages 4 and 5 (Execute and Operate).
Ensure the integrity of design specifications while working with contractors during Stage 4 (Execute Stage).
Participate in FEED package reviews, Flow Plan/P&ID reviews, HAZOP reviews, PHA meetings, and 3D Model reviews, ensuring all follow-ups are addressed.
Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving for existing facilities.
Identify opportunities to enhance work processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant process engineering/design experience in the petrochemical, chemical, refinery industry, or in upstream and/or midstream facilities.
Proficiency in ProMax, ChemCAD, and HYSYS software.
Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple interfaces, and prioritize tasks
effectively.
Knowledgeable in process modeling software and experienced with technical computing tools for hydraulic calculations, TRV relief, and other evaluations.
Familiarity with H&MD, PFD/P&IDs development, and process equipment design specifications.
Solid understanding of industry standards and practices related to process design and safety.
EIT/PE License is a plus.
