Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will focus primarily on mechanical piping design, with civil/structural design experience being a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical piping design efforts for various projects, including layout and material take-off for complex piping systems.
Conduct material take-offs for mechanical and civil quantities for project proposals.
Serve as the Lead Designer for piping and mechanical drafting/modeling requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards.
Lead model reviews with clients.
Interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to develop comprehensive designs and create detailed 3D models.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of piping components, including manual valves, specialty items, and fittings.
Perform field design activities, such as P&ID walk-downs, construction support, and as- built documentation for the model.
Extract isometric drawings from 3D models for fabrication and installation.
Operate with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality design outputs.
Review vendor drawings with a solid understanding of mechanical equipment specifications and applications.
Utilize CADWorx Plant 2022 for 3D modeling and design tasks.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial mechanical piping design.
Proven experience in the design of gas, oil, and water pipeline systems.
Experience leading design projects for process plants, compressor stations, SWDs, tank batteries, and other oil and gas facilities are highly desirable.
Proficiency with CADWorx Plant (version 2010 or higher), AutoCAD, ISOGEN, CADWorx Equipment, CADWorx P&ID, and Navisworks.
Civil/structural design experience is a plus.
