Job Description:

 We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Licensed General Contractor with GF 8 and GF 9 certifications in New Mexico to manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial construction, a strong understanding of construction codes and regulations, and excellent project management and leadership skills. This position requires a focus on delivering high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and local building codes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating subcontractors and vendors.

  • Ensure all projects comply with state and local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

  • Review project specifications, blueprints, and contracts to ensure clarity and accuracy before work begins.

  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses required for construction projects and ensure all work is inspected and approved.

  • Manage and supervise on-site construction teams, ensuring proper techniques, safety protocols, and quality control standards are adhered to.

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and submit accurate cost reports.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the construction process, including coordinating with the project manager, architect, and other stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and provide progress reports to clients and stakeholders.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding project timelines, budgets, and any changes to the scope of work.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, building codes, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Valid GF 8 (General Building Contractor) and GF 9 (Fabrication Contractor) certifications in the State of New Mexico.

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on general contracting.

  • Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.

  • Strong understanding of New Mexico building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.

  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with project management software and other construction management tools.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in construction management.

  • Previous experience working with oil and gas or municipal projects.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
